IOW® has discussed the development, strategy and techniques of current worldwide water loss and Non-revenue water (NRW) management with more than 800 specialists from 50 different countries. The topic for this year is “Towards MINIMUM LOSSES through Technologies Proactive Polices and Sustainment.”

    IOW® has discussed and learned from many well-known leakage specialists, explore the most advanced leakage control theory and experience. Meanwhile, IOW® also shared the leakage control and DMA control in China. During this event, the VP of IOW® Zhijun Wang has discussed with English leakage specialist Malcolm Farley, who has worked in international water career for more than forty years, with abundant pipeline management knowledge. As the project manager, Mr Farley has done a lot of training and consulting, he is skilled in leakage monitoring and the design of detecting scheme. Since 1994, he became a consultant, he explored leakage knowledge and techniques suitable for all around the world to guide water audit, unproductive water reduction and leakage management strategies, to improve the operation and maintenance of the pipeline network. Mr Farley also a member of the IWA water loss Task force, who is in charge of transmit the IWA leakage control theory and suggestion to the world water companies. He also is a member of WHO and IWA operation and maintenance committee, the author of “The Manager's Non-Revenue Water Handbook A Guide to Understanding Water Losses”.

    Through this event, IOW® as the representative of water supply pipe leakage control in China, has discussed the most advanced pipeline control technology and developing trend with worldwide specialist on pipeline leakage, pressure control, and detecting equipment.
